Trusted Guidance for Diverse Legal Needs
Civil Matters
In addition to our other practice areas, we can also assist you with the following types of cases:
CPS/DFPS
The Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) and Child Protective Services (CPS) initiate proceedings when there is a concern for the welfare of a child, or in some situations, an adult who needs care. Our firm can assist you during all stages of a DFPS/CPS case. We also accept court appointments for these cases.
Ad litem/Amicus
The appointment of an ad litem or amicus can be done in almost any case if the court believes that role is necessary or believes the role will be helpful. The role of the ad litem is to advocate for the interests of their client whom they have been appointed to represent. The role of an amicus is to assist the court in protecting and advocating for the best interest of the child.
Name change of child or adult
Texas law allows for the ability to change the legal name of an individual. The process is available for both children and adults.
Unbundled services
Hiring a lawyer for full representation may not be an option for some depending on their circumstances and/or desires. Our firm offers unbundled services such as drafting and review of legal documents and limited scope representation.
Contract/document review
Contracts can be effective tools to protect yourself, your property, and/or your business. We can assist with both contract drafting and contract review.
Personal injury
Unfortunately, getting injured due to the negligence of another is more common than you may think. Our office helps those who have been injured in car accidents and slip and fall cases.
